Hello Dear Reader,
Here I am with Emma, who writes a blog called 'Adventures of an unfit mother' HERE as we gathered in the hotel foyer for the Blog awards. Please have a read of her blog, it's funny, refreshing and full of joy. Leave her a message and let her know that I sent you. It's also really well written. You can also have the full sight of the £4 charity shop silk Alex and Co dress. The handbag under my arm was something I bought for my graduation ball in 2002 and ten years later it got another outing. I coloured my own hair and my make up was from Aldi. It may have been a posh do but I didn't break the bank trying to fit in.
I had a really exciting call waiting for me when I got in from work, inviting me back to Radio Cornwall to talk more about being frugal and living well in hard times and my award for best thrifty blog. I'm so chuffed to go back as I had such a lovely time when I went before. I'm also really pleased that I can share my life and ways of saving money. These are hard times and as wages stay the same or in some cases reduce, all of us will have to find more creative ways of keeping our families fed and our homes in order.
I will be on the radio at 8.30 in the morning and I will put up the link later in the day so you can 'listen again'. When I started writing this blog, I was stunned if anyone read it. Recently, some 7,000 of you lovely readers have been viewing pages every day. I am so incredibly grateful that you read and that you share your money saving ideas, your recipes, your anecdotes and family stories. Thank you so much for reading and to celebrate going back to Radio Cornwall, I will spend the night on my sewing machine on my new quilt project.
Until tomorrow,
Love Froogs

ReplyDeleteIt's just fabulous to be frugal and you are the finest teacher! #FQstoptober I had to buy bread and milk as I spent the morning at the hospital and now can't stand. I used a £10 I found in a going out handbag, so will use this to get more milk as n when. Total spent £1.80. Total from the bank £0 !
